We have recently installed an in-office finishing optical lab. This means we now have the ability to produce a pair of glasses in one day, even while you wait if the lens blanks are in stock and the frame is available on that day. We plan on obtaining a large stock of lenses for this purpose and for emergency work, in both plastic and polycarbonate.
The equipment is Santinelli's latest patternless edger, groover, polisher and drill which allows us to process not only regular plastic and metal frames, but also semi-rimless and full rimless spectacles. It combines precision machining with robotic controls that will allow us to produce more accurately finished glasses than many wholesale optical laboratories can now do.
Almost all glasses will be ready for delivery within a very short time compared to the 10 day typical wait of most offices. The quantity purchasing of lens blanks will also allow us to produce lower cost lenses that can be covered IN FULL by insurance plans that we accept, and we can easily beat Lenscrafters in both quality and pricing. |
